Pear mesh tank Flavour in Canada: the review shortlist
Pear in Canada: 12 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run pear the same way in Canada: same mesh tank, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$1.83 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear mesh tank really costs in Canada
If you are looking at pear in Canada, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested pear in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 3–6 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where pear goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Canada accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised CA$49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run CA$1.83 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging.
Retail sales in Canada sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Canada allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On pear the budget price and the premium price can sit within CA$1.83 per 10 ml once 3–6 business days is counted.
