Pear starter kit Flavour in Canada: the budget shortlist
Pear in Canada: 8 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Coil life, liquid cost and the pear habit
Pear in Canada reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$3.48 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear starter kit really costs in Canada
We run pear the same way in Canada: same starter kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested pear in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Canada.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Canada, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Canada, since tanks and pods go first.
Where pear goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Canada stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Canada sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Canada need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
