Plum starter kit Flavour in Canada: the budget shortlist
Plum in Canada: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
How we tested Plum starter kit here
A plum starter kit from the budget options in Canada costs about CA$2.07 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Most people searching Flavour in Canada are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum starter kit really costs in Canada
Plum in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Canada the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 3–6 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Canada, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Canada stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Canada accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging. Shipping of nicotine to Canada runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for plum in Canada must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Canada allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Canada: about CA$2.07 per 10 ml liquid plus CA$31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
