Salted box mod Flavour in Canada: the review shortlist
Salted in Canada: 15 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Coil life, liquid cost and the salted habit
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$3.08 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at salted in Canada, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted box mod really costs in Canada
If you are looking at salted in Canada, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested salted in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 3–6 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Canada stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Canada accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised CA$61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run CA$3.08 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
