If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted pen device really costs in Canada
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested salted in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where salted goes wrong
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Canada survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Canada need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Canada sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Salted | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | pen device | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 9 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | 20 mg/mL | Legal retail limit in Canada |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Canada | 3–6 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | CA$64 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | CA$2.99 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is salted legal to sell in Canada?
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging.
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever Canada allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
