Salted pen device Flavour in Canada: the price shortlist
Salted in Canada: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
How we tested Salted pen device here
A salted pen device from the value options in Canada costs about CA$2.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$2.26 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted pen device really costs in Canada
We run salted the same way in Canada: same pen device, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested salted in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Canada, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised CA$38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run CA$2.26 per 10 ml.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Canada need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for salted in Canada must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
