Salted prefilled pod Flavour in Canada: the review shortlist
Salted in Canada: 17 units tested over 2 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
What salted costs in Canada
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$2.17 per 10 ml.
Salted in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Canada the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: salted in Canada works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted prefilled pod really costs in Canada
If you are looking at salted in Canada, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested salted in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–6 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Canada.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 3–6 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised CA$35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run CA$2.17 per 10 ml.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging. Shipping of nicotine to Canada runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is salted legal to sell in Canada?
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Canada: about CA$2.17 per 10 ml liquid plus CA$35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
