Sour box mod Flavour in Canada: the cheap shortlist
Sour in Canada: 17 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Canada.
Where buyers go wrong with sour in Canada
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Canada that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within CA$2.6 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Canada works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour box mod really costs in Canada
Sour in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Canada the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sour in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Canada, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Canada, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Canada.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised CA$51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run CA$2.6 per 10 ml.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sour in Canada must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Health Canada caps nicotine at 20 mg/mL and requires child-resistant packaging. Shipping of nicotine to Canada runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
